How did you verify this?
I go inside the autosave folder and look if files were created.

It's set to 3 (minutes, I guess) and nothing happens.
Does it work if you allow the default folder? Could be a permissions issue depending on where you are putting the custom folder.

Thank you!

When I set it to the default folder, then there are also no files.

The folder is not write protected.
System information:
  • Windows 10 Professional x64
  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT
  • 32GB DDR4 RAM
  • Nvidia GeForce 3070 FE

Could you try killing via task manager OWM while having an unsaved map open? (Waiting for at least 5 minutes).

I want to see if it's not being saved or the location is somehow wrong.

Can't reproduce this issue.

Thank you!

Tried it as descriped, but still no save files.

Is there a debug mode to show you a logfile?

Meant to ask at the end if when you ran OWM again after if it asked about recovering the auto save... but I'm assuming it didn't.

Don't have logging for that, we'll do more research.

Thank you!

It did! O_O

OWM asked me if I want to restore the map. But why do I see no files?

That's interesting. I wonder if Windows is playing tricks keeping the files hiden?

After I closed OWM (with the restored map) the save file disappeard again.
I let windows show me hidden files, but there are none.

If OWM closes normally the files are deleted so as not to leave any temp files behind, so that seems to be correct.
