Windrose Tool?

Post by SilverSurfer1221 » Thu Apr 01, 2021 4:18 pm

Hello! Would it be possible to add an adjustable windrose tool?

Image

It's not only the compass, but the lines that go in all directions (from the compass) across the ocean.

Click here if you can't see the image:

The server your image is hosted as a ssl issue, so the image won't be displayed.

Right-click and select "Open image in new tab" for now. Or click the link I provided.

V1.0.4 will at this :). It's at the top of our functionality additions for the next version.

Just realized this is a new topic, not the existing one on it :D

But yes, we're adding with V1.0.4.

I can't speak for OWM, but in other mapping tools (like Wonderdraft), you click to set the center (where the lines will array out from). Then you can adjust the number of arrays (directions ... 8, 16, etc.). In Wonderdraft you can also adjust the line width, the inner radius (do all the array lines converge into a dot or leave an open space (circle) in the center, and the outer radius (do the lines extend off the map or end within the edges of the map) and any line fading (as the lines extend outward from the center). So, it's a pretty simple too, overall.
