Sometimes I like to publish things under a Creative Commons license.
For that purpose I like to embed some meta data directly in the files I share, like:

License name
License URL
Project Homepage
Author name
Author e-mail

Great suggestion! I added it to the feature requests.

And a "version" field would be nice too.
