Using OWM for Non-Map Images

Anyone else use OWM for stuff that is not necessarily maps? Here's a recent example where I'm using the region tool to make background textures.

I've used OWM a couple times as a Visio replacement for doing flowcharts, network diagrams, and such. Although those sometimes still end up looking like maps, if I have the time available to play with them...

Putting character art on top of a map would make some cool art and maybe even as a cover. I will have to try it in the near future.
