First of all, thanks for the various experience reports that have been E-Mailed to us!

We've now released a new OWM version of Volume 2 of the Dundjinni Archives. This is said to be the biggest collection of free RPG fantasy mapping graphics ever made. It includes more than 15,000 features and textures for top-down raster (bitmap) cartography. The collection has a total size of more than 2.1 GB of cartographic graphics. They not only are freeware but also are licensed for private and commercial use.

Because of its size and the difficulty some people have downloading files that are >2 GB in size, we've split this into two ZIP files.

WINDOWS USERS:

Should download these files and unzip them into a temporary folder:

https://www.vintyri.org/downloads/DA2_OWM_1.zip 1.2 GB

... and ...

https://www.vintyri.org/downloads/DA2_OWM_2.zip 966 MB

One of the resulting files is called Dundjinni Archives Vol 2 for OWM.pdf. It contains illustrated, step-for-step instructions for installing the add-on.

MAC and LINUX USERS:

Should download these files and unzip them into:

(Installation Location) > Three Minds Software > Other World Mapper

https://www.vintyri.org/downloads/DA2_O ... ux_Mac.zip 1.2 GB

... and ...

https://www.vintyri.org/downloads/DA2_O ... ux_Mac.zip 964 MB

One of the resulting files is called Dundjinni Archives Vol 2 for OWM.pdf. Ignore the instructions for a Windows installation. Your ZIP-action already has installed the add-on.

ALL USERS:

The PDF guide mentioned above has two tutorials. The first is on dungeon level. It makes the first battlemap below, of an underground dwarven forge with a troll and orcs attacking the dwarves. The second tutorial makes tghe second battlemap below, on town level. The battlemap shows the center of a bustling village.

OUR LAST ADD-ON FOR OWM, the much smaller Volume 3 of the Dundjinni Archives, still is in production. It will be of interest only to those who do cartography in the modern or science fiction periods.

As before, this is AWESOME! Really happy to see your team's work accessible to our users.

I asked before, and I don't think I got a reply (sorry if I missed it).

Is there any chance you guys can have a "landing page" on your website with all these downloads? A lot of people don't like links shared directly, and it doesn't feel right linking from our website directly to yours.

Thank you!

We certainly will do exactly that, but before we put these add-ons up as official products, we'd like to hear a bit more about how they're working. We really still are in something of an alpha-beta process, even though we haven't applied those words. We prefer right now to keep our announcements low-keyed until we feel rather confident that everything runs well.

Servus,

Servus,
Sounds good! And good point.

Forums is a good place to share the assets for now then, and we'll try them in different computers too. I'll probably share the forums posts to our FB group (doesn't have a lot of people), but I'll hold sharing on our FB and Twitter pages until later.

Thank you again!
