prevent fractalization loops

Post by FoaS » Mon Oct 11, 2021 6:01 pm

sometimes when doing a "sharp-ish" angle using a bezier curve, two fractal lines will loop around each other, creating a non-convex shape. Could there be an option to prevent this from happening during fractalization?

If I see this happen, I redo and don't take the shape to that point. It's easy to avoid. While you're drawing points, you can ctrl+z undo to go back 1 point.

Uldar's suggestion covers dealing with fractal segments.

I think generally what you are looking for is a "coast tool" that would create random coastal segments rather than a generic fractal pen. That way you could set the type of coast, etc. and the algorithm would also avoid glitches.

Thank you!
