Different kind of coastline shadow

Post by Balmung » Thu Apr 08, 2021 7:48 am

In some map making tutorials the creators drew a thicker coastline at the bottom and the right side. I can reproduce this look by copy a landmass and move the second landmass till this "shadow" appears - like in the attachment.

The problem is, that a lot of other things doesn't look good anymore; by obvious reasons ^^

The only way everything should keep working together would be real implementation.

This is something we’ve been planning on adding and was pushed down the priority list. It is scheduled for next version though!

Great!

I'm hoping that will be a shadow option on more than just coastlines?

The other option would be to allow the light tool to have a height?

Thanks!

Once we've figured out how to do it for the landmasses, it should be something we can add to other items as well. What other items would you be interested in using it on?
