The size of that asset is to big compared to the others. At the right of the line you see the same asset at 80% which fits better for my taste.

My problem is, that I rotate through all pines and if OWM picks "White pine 1" it always stands out.

Confirmed this and have added it to our list of issues. If you want to change the size of the image yourself, you can find the image file in Program Files\Three Minds Software\Other World Mapper\Features\Basic SVG\Vegetation. Thank you for letting us know!
