Zoom level VS Real size (1.0.6)

To get a 1:1 view in a sense of WYSIWG I need to set the zoom level to 34.50%. Then I'm able to place a printed map on my screen and everything matches. I expected that at a 100% zoom.

That would depend on the print vs screen resolution. What are your map sizes (pixel, resolution, etc) vs the map that you scanned resolution/size?

Thank you!

  • Map: DIN A4, 300 DPI
  • Display: 27", 108.95 PPI
If it depends you may close this issue :)

The difference is caused by the DPI/PPI values of your different displays. When OWM displays on-screen at 100%, that's 1 on-screen pixel = 1 map pixel (which is to say, based on the map's pixel dimensions - a 1024x768 map would be 1024 map pixels wide by 768 map pixels high). Similarly, when it prints at 100%, that's one on-page pixel = 1 map pixel.

But your print pixels (300 DPI) are only 36.3% as large as your screen pixels (108.95 PPI), so it ends up being only 36.3% as large on the page as it is on the screen.
