Label tool wonky text, Tool tray text cut off

Post by Mindfire » Tue Jan 25, 2022 11:55 pm

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature I'm not using correctly, but either way it's driving me crazy. When I try to use labels with custom paths, the letters are spaced miles apart and the text ends up getting cut off. This happens regardless of path, font size, or alignment. Is there a way to fix this? It makes custom path more or less unusable.

Additionally, the text on my tool tray is cut off for some reason and no amount of fiddling with settings will fix it.

I was able to replicate the problem with a 4K monitor. It seems to be an issue with resolution that's messing with the letter spacing and that's making the text longer than the path. We've been working on more support for high resolution monitors, so I'll add this to our list. For the time being, you might be able to make the path longer with the transform tool. That should stop it from getting cut off. Thank you for pointing this out!

The tool tray text getting cut off is also on our list. It's somewhat fixed by changing the icon size, . In Settings->Size Settings... change the Menu and Tool Icons to Large. Please let us know if that doesn't work or you notice anything else!

Thanks for the tip! That does help with the tool tray. Since the custom path issue is connected to resolution, I'm going to see if turning down the resolution on my monitor is an effective workaround.

UPDATE: Turning down the resolution did not fix the issue unfortunately.
