I'm going to convert all my RPG maps for my homebrew setting, which currently use colour blocks to indicate terrain types to more detailed versions. Tried campaign cartographer and just couldnt get into it

I'm planning on using it for my D&D campaign that I DM. I've used photoshop in the past, but it seems overly time consuming. I also tried campaign cartographer and it just didn't click for me.

As many others, I will be using OWM to develop the map for a D&D setting for 5E. Really looking forward to getting my hands on the software :-)

Mostly pen and paper RPGs, area and world maps for use in local campaigns.
Maybe a map to be included in a textbook, need a basic North America to place some native language groups on.

planning on using this for a D&D campaign that I am apart of.. we have always lacked good world maps, or even regional maps and this will really help us! Thanks again for running a kickstarter!

Planning on using it for some tabletop campaigns I'm playing/creating. Also for world design (which I love to do) and maybe a book in the future! Who knows?
I'm just tired of drawing by hand and trouble to store the old maps.

I'm really looking foward to the release!!

For fun, mostly, as I love to create new worlds for my own amusement. Some of them are used in pen-and-paper RPG down the road but it’s not a primary consideration.

I heard about OWM through another KS project, That Which Sleeps, though (http://www.kingdinosaurgames.com) and I also intend to create scenario maps for that game with it.

Like most people here I will be using this for a pen and paper RPG. I feel that the geography of a world greatly affects the society and culture of a world. Myself not being much of an artist, I look forward to using this software as it will give me and my players a better understanding of the world which we inhabit.
