Play per post RPG
Hey guys, it seems we are all RPGers here. I would like to toss an idea for you: what if we played some play-per-post games here?

It could be fun.. I've not played any of the d20 games in this method just White Wolf's Adventure systems for Vampire and Werewolf. Some FATE as well.
FATE for one lends itself to this kind of play rather well as it isn't very crunchy where the roles & rules are concerned.

Yeah, d20 isn’t the best for this kind of game. Werewolf works very well but I don’t have the manual so I could be a player but not a GM.
A free, genre-agnostic, and pretty minimal system I like to use is FUDGE:

FATE is a FUDGE derivative but both systems would work as they rely more on story than crunchy numbers. It also allows for more player control over the world.stefanstr wrote:

The thing that could make Fate appealing is the Phase Trio creation process. Each new character defines a portion of thier story and then two other players get to tie in backgrounds with the new player. It prevents that whole mess created by the random tavern meeting.

Gonna take a look at FATE. I like minimal rulesets and more storytelling.unklStewy wrote:FATE is a FUDGE derivative but both systems would work as they rely more on story than crunchy numbers. It also allows for more player control over the world.stefanstr wrote:
