Is MacOS the problem again?
Always :( . If we don't get past it will release the Windows version first, then a few weeks later the Mac and then Linux.

I hate doing that.. but it may be the better way.

Thank you!
Is there an MacOS-Update coming that fixes the problem? Or a new version of the programming language in use?
If not ... maybe the time has come ...

We are past OSX/Linux issues now, just finishing up normal regression...

Otherworld Mapper has been my favorite software for creating maps like this. But I have to say, the space between releases is way, way, WAY too long. The original thread poster asked about the next release back in September ... 7 months ago or so. And when exactly was 1.0.6 released anyway? To get a point release once in half a year or every year? That seems too long to me. I realize that this is complex software, but I see game engines, that have only one or two developers, releasing a lot more frequently than Other World Mapper.

I hate being so negative, but it's because I love the software. And because of that, I'd like to see it grow, get bug fixes, and get even more features added. But if it's going to take a year between point releases?

Sigh.

I share your frustration, actually. And I appreciate everyone's patience so far!

I love Other World Mapper and it's something I really enjoy working on, but OWM is a shared team and we've had less time over the last 2/3 years to work on the program, for several reasons . Add to that, we are moving to the 1.1.1 branch that required a lot of engine changes that will only be noticeable as we add functionality.

The branch jump has taken a long time, but the point releases should be more frequent within the new branch.

The good news is that only two pending items remain for V1.1.1, documentation and the last minute issue from a different thread that will be fixed with this release.

Thank you!

Quick update.

Current status is we are finally working on the release files for V1.1.1! It's taking longer because all the code signing process has gotten more complex, for Windows and OSX (and more expensive!)

Thing is, from what I read, 1.06 was released in March of last year. So, we are now well over a year since the last POINT update. Actually, it's not too far from a year-and-a-half ... That ... wow ...

As can be seen from this and other threads, I too am not a fan of the long wait for the upcoming update. However, one feature that I would like to see is being implemented and unlike competing products, there is no subscription required. We got what we paid for, everything else is a bonus.

Still, smaller, but more frequent, updates would be very welcome to see that there is an active development ;)

Well, I have three other mapping software apps that I can use that also do not have any subscription to use them. So, Other World Mapper isn't unique in this.

Just released for Windows :). Linux is a couple of weeks away, and OSX after.

Thank you!
