But could 1.0.7 be released before the christmas holidays? :)

Unfortunately not. :cry: There are a couple more things to finish up and then we'll be in regression testing. We're aiming for a release by end of January. Thank you for your patience!

How is 1.0.7 coming? Get the testing done? Get the Mac issues figure out?

Thanks!

Yeah, we are doing regression testing right now, processing new art work and deciding if one of the new features is ready to be included with this release.

Thank you!

Could you tell us a little bit what is already decided to be included?

It will be a little longer still... working on the last additions that we wanted to get into this release, then doing a small part of regression.

On changes
For certain we'll have
* improved SVG support,
* stackable shorelines
* stackable grids
* improvements to layers management
* a legend tool
* and a lot of performance improvement (using multicore processors even more than we were). Also other engine improvements towards future changes.

And one really cool thing that may or may not make it to this release...

I don't know if the stackable grids would already fix this or not, but a very simple suggestion I would recommend is to add a new simple texture that is either square or grid shaped that allows the user to fill a shape or other area with a grid equivalent. I myself don't need this as I've already designed a quick graphic that I added as a texture to do the job... however, it might be useful for other users. Here's an example of what I mean. The grid inside of the space station (its unfinished) below is not the grid, as observed by it not appearing all over the map. Rather instead it was a simple texture I made and added to my OWM library.
