The first OSX release is out! :)

We'll be following up with a blog post, but update emails are starting to go out. This is the first OSX release so expect issues and missing functionality. And, we do have a Windows "bias" so expect stuff that's a bit odd for Mac :) - let us know if you come across anything that you think should be done differently. Let us know via the Issues forum of anything you notice that isn't quite right or any outright bugs you find.

Please note that right now only Sierra and High Sierra are supported. We were trying to get a build for El Capitan but it was taking too long and we didn't want to delay any longer. Let us know if you need support for El Capitain.

This is a list of known limitations and issues for the OSX release.

OSX-001 - Arrow caps don't work (line, travel routes)
OSX-002 - Water layer interaction (river and water body) not perfect
OSX-003 - Features in path and fill mode have artifacts
OSX-004 - Some keyboard shortcuts missing
OSX-005 - Label alignment not working
OSX-006 - Holes in complex shapes not dealt with properly
OSX-007 - Print is not working and it's currently disabled
OSX-008 - Labels cannot be multiline
OSX-009 - Import SHP currently not working and disabled
OSX-010 - Roads other than solid are not working
OSX-011 - Export PDF not working
OSX-012 - Tutorial mode not available
OSX-013 - Various small differences in final rasterization compared to Windows version

And, something I forgot to mention.

We're switching to an open format (XML like) for OWM files going forward. We'll make a longer post about it, but we never liked the idea of having a "secret" binary format it just ended up that way us we were rushing to get OWM out.

So, this Mac release can't open the current Windows generated map files, but within a month or so we'll have a new Windows release that switches to also use the XML format and you can use to re save your maps.
