Re: Immediate Rasterizing vs. Delayed Render
Alejandro, Thanks for the update, I apologize for my late response but we have entered our busy season in the security and surveillance industry. It seems like no one wants to install CCTV systems in the dead of winter.. Go Figure. 1) At any rate thank you very much for telling me what I was doing ...

Re: Removal of Path Points
We've been looking into the problem deleting points. It only happens with shapes that have a very very large number of points. One thing we noticed (and I was telling Casey in the other thread) is that the continent is being created with a very high fractal factor yet having "click points"/control p...

Re: Immediate Rasterizing vs. Delayed Render
Casey, Another thing we noticed is that the continent is being created with a very high fractal factor yet having "click points"/control points very close to each other. The continent in your map has 150k points, many of which are virtual overlaps. Those points don't add to the shape but they make t...

Re: World Making
(1) I suspect that this is not a small feature request but it would certainly simplify working with paths: right no the remove path points require you to click on each point, it would be most convenient if you could select all the points in a region and delete then in mass. Among other things it wo...

Re: World Making
Sorry, some of this was poster in the "errors" forum. I really need to go back to the root of the alpha forum each time :( No worries! Thank you for your help! 1) As you can tell for the emailed map, the two maps I've started with are the entire globe. It would be very useful to have a circle tool ...

Re: Multiple Land Masses
Please, don't take this are complaints: the program works remarkably well for a 0.7 alpha release. We very much appreciate all your help catching issues and giving suggestions!! The earlier we can identify these issues, the easier things will be down the road, so please keep at it :) When you colla...

Re: Immediate Rasterizing vs. Delayed Render
Alejandro, I have tried the Preview: Outline mode and it didn't seem to do anything visually but i will try to see what improvements it makes in drawing later today. Preview outline mode makes it so that only the outline of shapes is drawn while editing points, scaling, etc. and significantly impro...

Re: Multiple Land Masses
(I wrote you an email back, but to close the loop here too): Our current build doesn’t crawl like the alpha release with your map, which is really good news. For the current alpha release if you disable the “shoreline” option for the map you’ll notice it runs a lot faster (though still a little slug...

Re: Re-generating fractal segments
Kanchou, I am quite happy with the fractal randomization as it is now.. Devils Advocate Time: I think the shift+scroll is an effective method but it might confuse some people who come from other drawing utilities where the Zoom commands are Shift+Scroll up/down. Casey :ugeek: We didn't think about ...

Re: Immediate Rasterizing vs. Delayed Render
Casey, We made a lot of improvements in alpha 2 (not yet released). There was a lot of re-rendering being done that wasn't necessary, we meant to have that as part of Alpha 1 but it didn't make it. Also, have you change the preview mode to "Outline"? (it's equivalent to the 'wireframe" mode in 3D de...
