Re: Generic VTT output?

Okay, I found more information. It seems as if Megasploot, of Dungeondraft, created the "standard" and others are following it. https://www.reddit.com/r/FoundryVTT/comments/t2wprs/format_of_universal_vtt_map_file/ Here is the link to the Foundry module (javascript) that explains how the dd2vtt files...

Re: Migrating from CC3. OWM or dungeondraft?

The forums ate my first longer response. :( Sorry I'm late to the reply. 1 - DD is slightly faster when you want to play around or don't know what you want. 1a - If you know what you want to create and have a general idea of layout OWM is no slower. 1b - Editing anything except the objects is ...

Re: Generic VTT output?

Eek. So, I posted this to a CC3 FB group and apparently there is no standard. I was going by Dungeondraft's ability to output a "Universal VTT" file as if that was a thing and apparently it is not. It combines png, jpg, and xml into a dd2vtt file. d20Pro can import that file, Foundry VTT needs an ad...

Generic VTT output?

Greetings!

Are there any plans to allow for the Generic VTT output? I can't say exactly what it is other than when I load it into my VTT, it has the walls and doors done for me. As I am still gaming remote, big thing for me.

Thanks!

Re: Biggest Want for V1.0.5?

I was wondering if there was any update?

I know life happens and the best of plans don't always work. I know you had been planning on doing more, smaller releases. Is that still the plan?

I hope things are going well!

Thanks!

Re: Make Tools more generic

Okay, I just played around with the water shorelines and that is cool. It's what I wanted. I'm playing around with the contours and I feel like they need something. An inner glow on the contour lines, or outer glow, to help show if it's going up or down? Something like that. Or maybe the edge could ...

Thanks for the replies! I will have to try them out!

ETA: Okay, wow, I missed that. Obviously need to look around more at the tools I do have!

Thanks!

Re: Make Tools more generic

I probably should edit old posts but am adding things as I think of them. Basically, Shorelines are contour lines, whether it's for water or land. Having the ability to draw a region and apply contours to show elevation would be cool. I guess it makes me wonder how many other tools like this exist b...

Re: Make Tools more generic

As I think about it more, perhaps for Shorelines, all that needs to happen is to apply it to water types and be able to do it inward? I'm thinking about smaller maps, like a city on a coast, where I didn't use a landmass to draw the land, just a region. If the intention is that I should have drawn a...

Make Tools more generic

I'm no expert on OWM so I don't know how many things this applies to. What I do have is a specific idea in mind. I just found the option of Shorelines, mainly because I don't draw landmasses typically. That's another topic. The point I want to make is that there is a lot of functionality in OWM that...
