Re: Items To Not Exceed Boundaries
As a simple first-pass (which would probably be a 90+% solution), how about giving the tool a "lock to parent" checkbox? Generally speaking, it seems that, if you start drawing features in, say, a region and you want their distribution constrained, then you're only going to want them drawn in that r...

Re: Laydown Features More Like Paint Brush
If I follow you correctly, it sounds to me like that would be better handled by extending the "scatter" mode by adding settings for area (how far from the cursor the features can scatter) and density (how frequently/how far apart they're placed). Density would probably also be useful for other modes...

Re: contour regions: colours
SilverSurfer's covered the presets and themes side of things pretty well, but I'll also add that, if you're only concerned with a single map (rather than reusing presets/themes across multiple maps), you can also just select the existing object (region, contour set, whatever), right-click, and eithe...

Re: V1.0.3 is out!
When you said yesterday that the next release was coming "soon now for real", I didn't realize you meant quite that soon! Definitely looking forward to giving it a try.

Re: Installing To Linux
Nope, you don't need to do anything special. Just execute the file 'OWM' in the OtherWorldMapper directory created when you extracted the tarball. (It's been almost a year since the last release, so I may be misremembering, but I'm 95% certain that "untar and execute" is all I had to do to get it to...

Re: Zone "solid fill" color not working (Linux 1.0.2)
When creating a new Zone, the default color for "Solid Fill" is FF0000. If I change it, the object properties panel displays the new color correctly, but the actual fill color on the map remains red. All other object property settings for the zone appear to work correctly, including the opacity of ...

Re: Import PNG files
What do you mean by "import"? You can already set the background canvas image to a PNG, or use PNG files as textures for most object types, or as feature images.

Re: Adding doors to adjoining rooms
Re-reading your comment, can you clarify this part? I'm not sure which part you want clarification on, so I'll try to hit the major points. If I miss the part that was unclear to you, just let me know (clarify? :D ) what else you want me to follow up on. " For the sake of those of us who find it mo...

Re: Adding doors to adjoining rooms
Realistically though would a room open out into a corridor with a gap (ie no door). Unlikely so I can live with it. Depends on your setting. In a classic-style dungeon, it doesn't seem to be that common, but I see it constantly in the real world. Homes and apartments have a hallway leading to the b...

Re: Adding doors to adjoining rooms
I ran into this problem a couple days ago. After fiddling with different things, I finally came to the conclusion that drawing two separate Closed Areas ("rooms") and placing them side-by-side or overlapping their walls is almost certainly not the intended way to do this. Instead, what you "should" ...
