Re: Feature List for OWM Intial Release As Posted on Kickstarter
First, will we have the option to 'zoom' the maps in and out so we could have a thumbnail with names of major features like names of kingdoms and seas, and then the larger one with all the names of cities and such on it? There will be two ways to achieve this 1. Using the multiple views feature. Yo...

Re: Feature List for OWM Intial Release As Posted on Kickstarter
We've been focused on development, so the website got placed a bit in the back of the priorities. However, we went through all our notes, KS messages, KS comments, forum and reddit conversations we've had, and made a list of all the features beyond what's clear from the Kickstarter campaign. Re: Bravo Zulu!
Thank you!! We did pick up more backers from that forum, thank you! is certainly easy to use, produces a finished product much better than "good enough" and does so at a reasonable price. Looking forward to future add-ons as well.JJ That's what we like hearing about Other World Mapper! :) We hope to...

Re: How many people here are good at making polar maps?
Interesting. Are you planning on having the main map in a latitude / longitude co-ordinate system then? Or planning on draping a 2d map over a 3d spherical surface? You will get some distortion that way. The feature that is part of the first release from the Kickstarter is to have parallel and meri...

Re: Feature Requests?
you;ve got a captive audience of paid up enthusiasts and evangelists and wouldn't it be a shame not to use that? That's one of the main reasons we went to Kickstarter, to hear directly from people who would use Other World Mapper :) As the alpha and beta backers get to give us feedback and we get t...

Re: How many people here are good at making polar maps?
The moving gridlines (medians, parallels, latitiudes, longitdues) - and by this I mean curving on the display - would be the best tool. The stretch goal that added additional map projections added elliptical projections (AKA Mollweide projection) that would take care of at least part of what you ar...
