I see the issue dragging multiple features within the same parent (in layers, haven't tried on map) but you're right: it happens regardless of whether the features are grouped or not.Kyete wrote: is that what you're seeing?

The Z-order within grouped features gets scrambled after dragging them
EDIT: if you ungroup them before dragging the Z-order is kept. Strange bug.

YES!!For the Layers windows, added the ability to drag multiple items and drag children between parents

You can actually create labels that follow arbitrary paths by changing the label tool mode from the toolbar across the top.
