I’m trying to make a comprehensive map, and one of the details I want is all major transportation routes between each settlement.
The route tool works on my map, but it is not visible over water, only over land. So when I do a sea route I get a tiny piece on each end of the route but nothing over the water. I’ve tried changing the colour, size, style, etc.

Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Any suggestions on other tools for this purpose?

If you're starting the travel route inside a landmass, then it is being created as a child of that landmass. You can redraw it and place the first point on the water or cut and paste the existing travel route. Let us know if that works!
