I'm not sure which of my actions caused the renaming of all layers, but it happend :\
Things I did to all layers:
- Experiments with shorelines.
- Applied some landmass presets.

Have you come across this issue again? Can you remember any additional info? I've added to known our issues but we haven't been able to reproduce so far.

It happens all the time, but since I don't operate on all layers anymore, owm renames the layers in groupwise. And the numbers are getting bigger ^^

We've tracked down the bug! Whenever a preset is being applied to a selection of multiple items, the names of the items are being overwritten. We're working on fixing it now and it'll be in the next release.
