An Overlay

Post by Balmung » Mon Apr 05, 2021 11:08 am

The main purpose of my map is to be printed and with an optional overlay I could achieve a style like the attached map easily. With an overlay, OWM doesn't have to deal with page margins and some other things, that I can prepare as a SVG.

Basically just a layer above "canvas" is needed.

What sort of thing would you want in the layer, just an SVG? There is a way to have a background image on the canvas, but it doesn’t allow SVG at the moment. Part could be done with the Grid and Border overlays.

The "problem" with the background layer is, that it's in the backgroud ;)

Like in the image I posted, I want to put an image (prefered SVG) above everything - the top of the canvas.

An overlay is something on our list of things to add. I'll make sure that SVG is an accepted image type for it when it's added. Thank you for the feedback!
