Pressing ESC while editing a label causes the label to vanish

If you press ESC while editing a label's text, your changes to the label text are not saved (good!), but the label vanishes from view. It still appears in the Layers window, and you can still select it via the Layers window or in the map itself. If you choose the label tool and then click on the (invisible) label, it reappears.
