Re: Using Region tool for water regions?

James, I think the best approach is to use the landmass tool still and color it to appear as frozen ocean (it could be partially transparent if necessary). It would be equivalent to some of the ice formations in the the north pole. However, you should be able to use the region tool as well. Is it no...

Re: May have found a minor bug

If I render this map as a PNG, the river's shorelines get messed up. OWM file: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8ZZkO7-41U1UEtFYVJLc09FbDA PNG file: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8ZZkO7-41U1dEd3QlFpU1hjMm8 Apologies if this is a known bug. Thanks Hello, Good catch, thank you! No, it wasn't a...

Re: Need help - couple of dumb questions

Nevermind, I see it for some of the other tools. It just doesn't exist for the Lake tool. That is a good point. I was thinking for the zone/region tools. We'll try to add the following option for lakes with next release too. I'm sure we had a reason to not have it originally, but it makes sense to ...

With the tool is selected, the Tool Options bar across the top has all the modifiers for the tool. Add/Sub mode, Pen type, etc. Towards the end there is a "Following" checkbox.

Thanks!

New Release on the Horizon + Current work

Hello Everyone! We are due having another blog entry, but meanwhile I wanted to let everyone know what we are working on. So far we've been fixing a lot of minor issues that were reported and some that we found internally from V0.8.6. Our objective for the next release is to clean up Other World Map...

Re: Need help - couple of dumb questions

Thank you. The Dungeon Zone tool was what I needed. I had to fiddle around with the point editing to get it to look decent along the shoreline of the lake, but it turned out OK. It would be a lot easier if the new object could follow the path of an existing object for an arbitrary number of segment...

Re: Need help - couple of dumb questions

I feel like an idiot because I can't figure this out. It's probably super easy to do. Thank you for the question! It's actually a very good point and gave us some things to think about design-wise. I want to make sure I'm following 100% what you are trying to do, so correct me if I'm wrong. One thi...

Re: Various Bugs

The New Map button was the only one that I noticed. I spent some time tonight trying to replicate the issue, but wasn't able to when trying. But then a few minutes after I gave up on replicating the issue, it happened again. I'll keep an eye on it and give you some more info if I figure it out. I t...

Re: Wish List of Tools

An in-map ruler would be good. You ask us about miles per pixels/inch at the start, some way to click on a road, or between several points, and find out the distance in miles would be really great. The Measure Tool will let you do that :D. It will also let you "follow" the contour of existing items...

Re: Various Bugs

I think I figured out what's going on with the shapes that aren't associated with a landmass. I "staged" these shapes in an other map - one that didn't have any landmasses - and copy/pasted these shapes into my map. Since the original map didn't have any landmasses, I think that the copy/paste resu...
