Re: Recalculate Shorelines?

If I heavily modify a shoreline to enlarge the area, I loose the fractal generation and wind up with a smooth shoreline. This is especially true if I wind up adding new control points. Is there a way to get OWM to recalculate the shoreline to achieve the same great look as the rest of the map? Than...

Re: How Do I Export a Map Theme

According to the OWM v0.9.1 help document page 36: To create a “Map Theme” from your map, select “File” from the menu and “Export Map Theme” then enter a name for the new theme. I don't seem to have an "Export Map Theme" line in my File menu. The document wasn't updated for that late change. We obs...

Re: River Delta?

In April (2017) there was a news item about the forthcoming release candidate of OWM that mentioned the river delta option would be back. (new and improved, better than ever :-) ) I can't seem to find it in v0.9.1. Will it appear in a future release candidate? It's there :) If you select the River ...

Re: One of Four Islands Missing Shorelines When Rendered

Yes, but today the issue is gone and the rendered (exported) image has all the shorelines. My system running OWM was restarted this morning. Do you still want the OWM file? No, no need then. It maybe something where the exporter thought the landmass was set to invisible? We'll look into adding more...

Re: One of Four Islands Missing Shorelines When Rendered

In v0.9.1 I was playing with shore lines. Everything seemed to work until I exported the image. One of my four islands which has shorelines in the OWM editor is missing them after export. Where did the shorelines go? Hello! That's really odd. Can you email me the OWM file? info@threemindssoftware.c...

Re: Floor texture and Grid Alignment

File has been sent, thanks for your assistance! Hello! For 1) and 2) V0.9.2 is introducing the ability to save map templates and create new maps from templates. This way you'll be able to save your own Roll20 templates (for instance) with the size, grid configuration, etc. the way you want them. 4)...

Re: Item Selection and Scaling

A minor feature I'd like added would be a small enhancement to the item selection tools so that they at least default to selecting items with visible pixels, rather than items whose bounding box is the highest order element. In other words, if I have a large 5x5 mountain whose 4x4, 4x5, 5x4, and 5x...

Re: Floor texture and Grid Alignment

5) If using external art, particularly tile sets, it would be good to have an option to rotate items while placing them. This would be similar to the shift-scroll wheel to resize features. Maybe alt-scroll wheel to rotate by 15%? Thank you for all the feedback! We'll be looking into it, 3) is the o...

Re: Floor texture and Grid Alignment

I noticed that the walls also impact the texture alignment. It seems if there was a way to scale textures beyond by a fraction of a percentage point and the ability to change the X and Y position of the texture it might allow it to line up with the grid. Those are all very good points. I'm adding i...

Re: Following contours is broken and joining rivers broken.

I will email you the map file. Hopefully that will help. I was using freehand mode to draw the boundaries. As for the rivers, yes the merge checkbox is checked. They just won't merge. In fact, if I draw them too the other river, they will jump back to leave a gap. You should be able to see this in ...
