Re: Regression Testing for V0.9.5 has begun!

If you're still taking early beta testers for 0.9.5 (Windows version), I'm willing to lend my hat; I've reached a point in my game where I need to start mapping out a whole new portion of the world, so it's a good time for it on my part.

Re: Maps you've created

Here's the map I've been working on for a while now for my RPG campaign. This is a small section of the map - a 300x300 mile portion of a 3000x2400 mile total map. This is at half scale - the full-scale version is 10 pixels per mile, while this image is 5 pixels per mile. It's taking quite a while t...

Re: Item Selection and Scaling

Thanks for adding this! I've been building out my map (very slowly, ever since the February release) for a while now, and that feature really is quite helpful. However, I'd like to add a follow-on request. This currently works A-OK for regular features, but it doesn't work for colligated features. I...

Item Selection and Scaling

A minor feature I'd like added would be a small enhancement to the item selection tools so that they at least default to selecting items with visible pixels, rather than items whose bounding box is the highest order element. In other words, if I have a large 5x5 mountain whose 4x4, 4x5, 5x4, and 5x5...

Re: New From Selection Distorts/Leaves Out Colligated Features

You should be able to "subselect" river branches by clicking on the branch when the river is already selected. When you do that, the individual branch's start and end sizes should appear on the properties window. Thank you again! - Alejandro Ah, so you can! Didn't realize that. That solves the prob...

Re: New From Selection Distorts/Leaves Out Colligated Features

Welcome! And thank you for the bug reports and your help! You're welcome. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the program - easier to use and resulting in nicer-looking maps than Campaign Cartographer and Fractal Mapper, and not nearly as demanding in time and with features like fractal landmasses and ...

Layer Groups/Colligation With Names and Individual Item Selection

The current 'group' mechanism isn't all that useful - it makes it so multiple items are selected when one member of the group is selected, but that's about it. Colligating items has issues because it actually alters how they work - making it so you can't even see the name of the individual items tha...

New From Selection Distorts/Leaves Out Colligated Features

I encountered a bit of a bug with the New From Selection tool. The landmasses, rivers, and lakes work just fine when you use New From Selection, as do any non-Colligated features - but the Colligated ones don't. Any feature that has been Colligated is transformed in what seems to be a random way (in...
